I have 37 antique Creil & Montereau transferware dinner plates. This is a lovely setting for entertaining large numbers of guests. I recently used them for our Mother’s Day lunch on the deck where we had 20 people for lunch. It looked so beautiful with the flowers and napkins in pinks and white.
The intricate design includes ribbon and bows, flowers, rings, and the acanthus leaf. The colour is a delicate rose pink in the palest to deeper tones.
The mark is Creil & Montereau, Service Dubarry, serie Labrador.
The general condition of the plates is good with no chips although the glazing has fine cracks as would be expected of plates this age. Because of this there is some discolouration under the glaze on a few of the plates.
If you would like to see more images please contact me as I couldn’t upload all 37 images for this product. Unless you live locally and can pick these up, please phone or email me to discuss transport as they are quite heavy when wrapped and packed. I will sell them in sets of 12 plates for $144 per set. Each plate weighs 436 g.
