How do I buy an item?

To buy an item simply click the ‘add to basket’ button. This will take you to your shopping cart. If you would like to purchase more than one item click the ‘continue shopping’ button. When you are ready to place your order click the ‘checkout’ button.

I don’t have a Paypal account, can I still buy the item?

Yes. You don’t need a Paypal account to purchase goods. Note that Paypal is an exceptionally secure means of paying online, and I never have access to a buyer’s financial details.

What happens once I have paid for my item?

I send you a confirmation email when you have purchased from Maddie and Marie. You will receive an automated receipt for your purchase from Paypal that you can print or save.

Can I purchase from outside Australia?

Yes, you can buy from outside Australia using Paypal.

Before you buy because shipping costs will need to be quoted, please send me an email with your enquiry and I will respond with a shipping quote based on your country and address details.

How do I know my payments are secure and my details protected when I use Paypal?

For more information, please refer to the privacy policy. Paypal is an exceptionally secure means of paying online, and I never have access to a buyer’s financial details.

Can I pick goods up directly from Maddie and Marie?

If you are lucky enough to be living in Brisbane you may, once your payment has been cleared, arrange to pick up your purchased item from Maddie and Marie. Please email or phone me to make arrangements.

If you don’t live in Brisbane we will ship your purchases on receipt of the payment for the order. Being an online store enables us to keep the prices for these vintage and brocante items as low as possible.

How long does delivery take?

Depending on destination and shipping schedules, delivery time around Australia is 7-20 days. Please see Terms and Conditions for more information.

Can I return an item?

Yes. Please contact me within 48 hours of receiving your item. I will arrange a full refund for the purchase price of the item but customers must cover the cost of return transport/postage. All items must be returned within 14 days and be in the same condition as when received. Please see Terms and Conditions for more information.

Do you have Warranties on your items?

Because many of these pieces are of an age, and some are over 100 years old, they have acquired the patina of time and use. There may be scratches, crazing and age stains. I will always identify these indications of use and age and I will take photos to show you these characteristics. I do not polish or repair items because this may affect the value. If you do have any questions about an item please email or phone me.However I put as much description as possible on the website with lots of photos to show you what the product looks like.

Is GST included in the price?      

All prices displayed on the website are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) applied at a rate of 10%.

What happens if my item arrives damaged?

All my items are very carefully packaged, however, occasionally accidents do happen. I urge buyers to check their item before signing for it. This applies to furniture and accessories. Couriers will only accept liability if the damage and/or loss is flagged immediately. Once you have signed for an item it will be far more difficult to make a claim.
